Mother Tongue Teacher for Skövde Municipality

RESPONSIBILITIES

The mother tongue teacher is responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in the subject of mother tongue according to applicable governing documents. The work includes assessing and documenting the individual student's needs, knowledge, and abilities.

The teaching group holds pedagogical conferences (once a week) and study days together where you and your colleagues develop the work in the mother tongue unit. You also have daily contacts with school staff. The position requires that you have good language and IT skills and that you can integrate digital technology into teaching.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who masters Kurdish and Swedish in various subjects and teaching situations in schools. You structure and organize the work based on governing documents and analyze and document students' abilities and knowledge.

It is certainly highly meritorious if you are qualified to teach mother tongue through a Swedish teacher education or a validated teacher education.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Before a potential employment, a language test may be required to assess your knowledge of the Swedish language. Experience working with digital teaching tools is essential to succeed in this role.

To start working in preschool, school, after-school care, and other educational activities, you must show an extract from the criminal record. The extract is valid for one year and is ordered from the Swedish Police Authority www.polisen.se.

Anyone who has not shown an extract from the criminal record cannot be employed, contracted, or accepted in the activity according to current legal requirements.
